Semarang is the capital of Jawa Tengah Province and is located on the north path of the province. Semarang has an international sea port called Tanjung Mas. The southern part of Semarang is located on a hill, where the temperature is cooler compare to the nothern part of the city. To travel by car from Jakarta to Semarang, which is about 400 KM, will take about 10 hours. The same case if we try to reach Semarang from Surabaya.

Thursday, July 24th, 2008Bandung is the capital city of Jawa Barat Province, and is about 200 KM from Jakarta if you travel onroad via Puncak. However actually it is only 150 KM from Jakarta if you travel onroad via Cipularang Toll Road, avoiding Puncak area.
Road condition is good. But there will be a very bad traffic jam if you go at the week end, because many people from Jakarta will go to Bandung at that time.
