Bandung is the capital city of Jawa Barat Province, and is about 200 KM from Jakarta if you travel onroad via Puncak. However actually it is only 150 KM from Jakarta if you travel onroad via Cipularang Toll Road, avoiding Puncak area.
Road condition is good. But there will be a very bad traffic jam if you go at the week end, because many people from Jakarta will go to Bandung at that time.
